A glance at key battlegrounds
Numerous fiercely contested seats feature well-known candidates, including those in the New Delhi Assembly constituency, Jangpura, and Kalkaji, among others.
The ruling AAP, which occupies over 60 of the 70 assembly seats, is vying for re-election by showcasing the achievements from its earlier two terms.
Delhi’s current Chief Minister and AAP leader, Atishi, is competing in the Kalkaji constituency against Congress’ Alka Lamba and BJP’s Ramesh Bidhuri.
In Jangpura, AAP’s Manish Sisodia is up against Congress’ Farhad Suri and BJP’s Tarvinder Singh Marwah.
On the other hand, the New Delhi Assembly seat, which is the stronghold of former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, will see a three-way contest among Congress’ Sandeep Dikshit, BJP’s Parvesh Verma, and AAP.
The New Delhi seat presents a high-profile three-way contest featuring former Delhi CM (AAP), BJP’s Parvesh Verma, and Congress’s Sandeep Dikshit (son of former CM Sheila Dikshit).
