The Delhi Traffic Police has released an advisory regarding traffic restrictions and diversions in the capital in anticipation of the state funeral for former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, set to take place at Nigambodh Ghat at 11:45 am on Saturday.
Given the expected attendance of foreign dignitaries, VIPs, VVIPs, and members of the public, authorities have diverted traffic from key routes including Raja Ram Kohli Marg, Rajghat Red Light, Signature Bridge, and Yudhister Setu, as stated in the advisory.
Traffic changes are also likely to affect the Ring Road, Nishad Raj Marg, Boulevard Road, SPM Marg, Lothian Road, Netaji Subhash Marg, and adjoining areas from 7 am to 3 pm.
The public is encouraged to steer clear of these routes as well as the vicinity of the procession. Additionally, roadside parking is discouraged as it contributes to traffic congestion. The advisory urges individuals to report any suspicious objects or persons encountered during this period to the police.
