Notable Mentions
We’ve examined a variety of hoodies. While not every option deserves the top ranking, that doesn’t imply they aren’t worth your consideration. Below, we present a selection that we find to be good, albeit not quite as exceptional as the ones listed earlier.

Arcteryx Covert Hoodie priced at $180: I appreciated the zippered center pocket and found it to have a polished look, but the hood was a bit too snug for my larger head. It’s a stylish option if you’re not dealing with a big noggin like mine (or a lot of hair that you’d want to fit under the hood). 100 percent recycled polyester
Branwyn Swag Hoodie Pullover at $210: We love everything crafted by Branwyn, and this hoodie is incredibly warm and soft, featuring extras like thumb holes and a kangaroo pocket. However, for the same price, the Minus33 offers a higher merino content and a more extensive size range. 85 percent merino, 12 percent polyamide, 3 percent elastane
Richer Poorer Recycled Fleece Hoodie priced at $82: If our selections for cropped hoodies above didn’t catch your eye, reviewer Nena Farrell points out that this hoodie perfectly captures the right proportions. It also repurposes around 40 plastic bottles for every purchase. 60 percent cotton, 40 percent recycled polyester
TheraHoodie for $138: Thera’s weighted hoodie is unfortunately too heavy for casual outings, but it’s perfect for lounging at home (especially after a hectic day). My only complaint is that some beads occasionally escape from the pockets. 100 percent polyester
Image: Fjallraven
Fjällräven Vardag Hoodie priced at $105: This happens to be one of editor Adrienne So’s favorite hoodies; crafted from 100 percent PFAS-free cotton, it features a slightly thinner fabric and a boxier fit compared to the American Giant option above. 100 percent cotton
Feat BlanketBlend Hoodie for $128: This hoodie provides an oversized fit without being overly tight or excessively loose in any area. The neckline is comfortable and not constricting. We appreciate both the trendy color options and the spacious kangaroo pocket. Proprietary BlanketBlend fabric
Kids of Immigrants For Our Family Hoodie: As a proud child of immigrants, reviewer Brenda Stolyar is very fond of Kids of Immigrants’ message. She wears this hoodie constantly. It is exceptionally soft, warm, and cozy. It’s best to stick to your actual size rather than opting for an oversized fit—the hoodie is fairly thick, making a more fitted style look better. It frequently sells out, but the company is quick to restock. 100 percent cotton
