NTPC has successfully operationalized a 50 MW unit of the Shajapur solar project in Madhya Pradesh, bringing the group’s total installed and operational capacity to 77,461.50 MW, as per a filing with the BSE. “The commercial operation of the second and final part of the 105 MW Shajapur Solar Project (Unit-I) in Shajapur Solar Park, M.P of NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL) has been declared,” stated NTPC in the filing.
In another development, Coromandel International Ltd has acquired a majority 53 percent stake in agrochemical firm NACL Industries Ltd (formerly Nagarjuna Agrichem Ltd) for Rs 820 crore. Additionally, Coromandel International will launch an open offer to purchase up to an additional 26 percent of equity in the company. The acquisition involves a share purchase agreement among Coromandel International, NACL Industries Ltd, the seller (KLR Products Ltd), K Lakshmi Raju (a promoter), and Bright Town Investment Advisor Pvt Ltd (a member of the promoter/promoter group).
