Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has been awarded a significant infrastructure project in Andhra Pradesh by the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI), as per a regulatory filing made by the company today. The project, valued at ₹554.64 crore, entails the construction of a 6-lane access-controlled road connecting Visakhapatnam Port from Sabbavaram bypass to Sheelanagar junction. This 12.66-kilometer stretch will be developed on Hybrid Annuity Mode under NH(O).
RVNL’s shares were trading at ₹372.25, up by 4.01%, on the NSE at 10.15 am today. The project, officially named “Construction of 6 lane Access Controlled connectivity to Visakhapatnam Port Road from Km 0.000 to Km 12.660 of NH 516C on Hybrid Annuity Mode in the State of Andhra Pradesh,” must be completed within 730 days.
The company clarified that this contract is part of its regular business operations and does not involve any related party transactions. The project represents a strategic move for RVNL as it continues to contribute to the development of critical infrastructure in the region.
