Christophe Van De Weyer, the Chief Product Officer at Proximus Global and CEO of Telesign, emphasized the intention to complement existing communication APIs with network APIs that offer new value-added solutions to enterprise customers. Potential applications include real-time fraud prevention using location data and network slicing capabilities for large events like concerts.
Nokia’s Network as Code platform, which was launched in September 2023, already includes 55 partners such as BT, Deutsche Telekom, Orange, and Telefonica. With this partnership, Nokia aims to expand its API monetization strategy beyond network-side aggregation to encompass hyperscalers, CPaaS providers, and vertical software vendors.
