The 23rd Solvent Extractors’ Association of India (SEA) Global Castor Conference 2025 is set to take place in Gujarat on February 15, with a focus on the emerging trends in the usage of castor oil.
The event will have Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel as the chief guest. It will feature a presentation on the findings of India’s Castor Crop Survey 2024-25 conducted in key castor growing States – Gujarat, Rajasthan & Andhra Pradesh by M/s Agriwatch. Following this, there will be a panel discussion on ‘Castor Oil Price Outlook-2025’ by prominent speakers from the castor business and trade. India currently meets over 90 per cent of the world’s demand for castor oil and its exports are valued at approximately ₹15,000 crore ($1.8 billion) per annum. The global castor derivatives market, estimated to be over $6.0 billion, heavily depends on India.
The conference will also include sessions on “Castor Oil Consumption Outlook and Emerging Trends”, advancing the future of sustainable castor farming, advancements in castor seed research, among other topics.
The event aims to provide insights into the castor oil industry and its potential for growth.
