L&T Technology Services Limited (LTTS) unveiled its latest innovation, TrackEi, an AI-powered railway track inspection solution geared towards enhancing safety for rail networks globally. Powered by the NVIDIA Jetson™ platform for edge AI and robotics, TrackEi offers real-time defect detection and predictive maintenance support.
At 2.15 pm, LTTS shares were trading at ₹4,639.50, marking a 0.65% increase on the NSE.
Featuring high-resolution cameras and laser profiling, TrackEi can conduct automated inspections at speeds exceeding 60 miles per hour, identifying issues like broken rails, cracks, misalignments, and structural defects. The solution processes image data instantaneously, performing intricate machine vision tasks even in challenging lighting and weather conditions.
Alind Saxena, Executive Director & President – Mobility & Tech at LTTS, emphasized that TrackEi enables rail operators to pinpoint defects with unmatched precision while optimizing maintenance schedules and minimizing downtime.
Currently undergoing testing at MxV Rail in Pueblo, Colorado, following successful trials with Class-I Railroad customers, LTTS is set to showcase TrackEi at the NVIDIA GTC 2025 AI Conference.
This development comes on the heels of LTTS clinching the Etihad Rail Innovation Award for its innovative real-time visible rail defect detection method. It also strengthens LTTS’ collaboration with NVIDIA, which recently saw the introduction of an AI Experience Zone at LTTS.
