In a surprising turn of events in the dance world, renowned choreographer Remo D’Souza and his wife, Lizelle, are facing legal troubles in Maharashtra’s Thane district. They have been accused, along with five others, of cheating a dance troupe out of a massive Rs 11.96 crore, as per reports from local police.
The allegations came to light when a 26-year-old dancer filed a complaint at Mira Road police station on October 16. The complaint outlines a scheme of deception that dates back to 2018, culminating in July 2024 when the dance troupe won a television competition. However, the accused individuals allegedly posed as representatives of the troupe and claimed the prize money, leaving the dancers empty-handed.
